It is a term used to express shock or excitement after finding something out or doing something. It is derived from the words “thola” used as “ug’thola” meaning “to find” and the word “kuthi” meaning “something” the addition of “hey” is used to emphasise the shock or amazement of what has been found or what has been done.

Example: “Tholukuthi hey imali se iphelile sana lwam yazi izidrinks issa problem” – “You find that hey all the money is finished my friend, you know them drinks are trouble”
