The word has a couple of meanings depending on the context in which it is used.

1. It is usually used to answer in the negative to a question about something, some one or a certain state of affairs.

2. it can also be used to discourage someone from doing something they not supposed to.


” do you have a two rand to borrow me?” to which the person can respond ” haatsal my outie sorry ne?”

” did you hear that Jonnies tyma and tani split up?” to which a person can also respond ” haatsal man leave to carry on stories”
